About Me!

Hello world! My name is Riley Gray Jessup. Ever since I was young I have always loved art of any form. However, the form of art that has stuck with me from a young age has always been cartoons and animation. I have always found that cartoons are a special type of teaching, sure they are used for entertainment, but there are so many life lessons present in them as well. My whole goal in life is to become an animator and a voice actor! It has been my dream to voice act the characters I’ve created. I have always loved drawing and have worked to develop my skills since I could hold a pencil. Having said this I am mostly self taught. When I was in high school I took Honors Art 3 along with other creative classes the artist I am today. Some of the areas I like to dabble in are Comic Book style of DC and Marvel, any cartoon style, realism, and digital art. Keeping all of this in mind I hope to inspire young artsist such as myself to get out there and be creative. The way I have done this so far is by teaching art lessons! I currently teach an 11 year old boy to help strengthen his skills. Not only have I helped him with his artistic skills, but he has also helped me strengthen my creativity skills as well. I would describe myself as artistic, but not creative. If you give me a photo you want me to copy to a tee, I can do it no problem. However, if you ask me to create a character without a reference it would take me longer. I am getting better daily through all my experiences. This is where teaching has allowed me to improve my skills. Being a young artist who has just enjoyed making her friends smile with some simple drawings!
